Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice explains how Tyreman ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data. Tyreman is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use our website or book a service with us. You can contact us at a.grey28@yahoo.com or on 07904 404444.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Contact details you give us at booking: name, email address, phone number.
  • Vehicle and booking information you provide: registration, vehicle notes, tyre size, service requested.
  • Communications you send us by phone, email or messaging.
  • Technical data when you visit the site: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed (via privacy-friendly analytics).

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

  • Provide the service you booked (contract performance).
  • Contact you about your booking, quotes, or follow-ups (contract performance / legitimate interest).
  • Run the website, prevent fraud, and improve our service (legitimate interest).
  • Comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting records (legal obligation).

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, email, and analytics providers that help run the site.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, lawyers and insurers where necessary.
  • Authorities — where we are required to share information by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process your data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or adequacy decisions to protect your information.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and customer records for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you, and for up to 6 years afterwards to comply with UK accounting and tax requirements. Website analytics data is kept for up to 24 months. After these periods we delete or anonymise your data.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at a.grey28@yahoo.com. We will respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our systems — to protect your personal data.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the site. We also use privacy-friendly analytics that may set non-identifying cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
